As is learnt from the Jiangbei Bureau of Commerce, the local commerce economy developed quite well in the first half of this year. According to the statistics, from January to June, Jiangbei boasted a total import and export volume of 26.65 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 39.5%. Of the total amount, the export volume reached 14.41 billion yuan with an increase of 21.2%, ranking No. 1 in Ningbo in terms of the increase. The total product sales volume was 93.44 billion yuan with an increase of 32.7% as compared to the same period last year, again ranking No. 1 in terms of the increase. The sales volume of the produce above designated scale was 74.68 billion yuan with an increase of 53.4%, still No. 1 in terms of the increase.

As is introduced by the representative with Jiangbei Bureau of Commerce, the increase of export volume in Jiangbei in the first half of this year mainly depends on the favorable development of leading key foreign trade enterprises and manufacturers. Ningbo Home-Dollar Import-Export Co., Ltd., a traditional foreign trade enterprise in Jiangbei, has grabbed opportunities to further explore overseas markets, making its export volume in the first half of this year up to 1.07 billion yuan with an increase of 24.5%, and accounting for 8.3% of the total added export volume and up to about 2% of the total export volume in Jiangbei District. Leading manufacturers also boasted favorable development by way of technological reform and production expansion. IKD, for example, boasted an export volume of 730 million yuan for the first 6 months this year, increased by 23.4% year on year. As for Jintian Group, the export volume reached 920 million yuan with an increase of 25.2%. Only these 2 enterprises, IKD and Jintian contributed 12.8% of the total added export value in Jiangbei and up to about 3% of the total export volume in Jiangbei.

Meanwhile, in the first half of this year, newly registered enterprises, such as those introduced Ningdian South and Haikai International , boast obvious increases as well. Besides, favorable policies have been put forth for the further development of commerce economy in Ningbo and for supporting market exploration of high-tech enterprises. The direction of foreign trade policy has been optimized; the strategic cooperation with China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation has been carried out; precise leverage to support manufacturing enterprises with the ability of high-tech R & D and the export of brand products have been implemented; online matching and financing credit and other market-exploration services have been adopted to help enterprises expand their business.

Jiangbei also boasts favorable produce sales, thanks to many newly registered enterprises in 2018 and the fact that the prices of bulk produce remain high.

In the first half of this year, Jiangbei welcomed 103 newly registered business enterprises above designated scale, whose produce sales volume add up to 16 billion yuan, accounting for 38.7% of the total sales volume of its kind in Jiangbei. As the services being provided to enterprises deepening and more precisely, the leading business enterprises are developing quite well. In the first 6 months, Jiangbei Bureau of Commerce further strengthened communication and service providing for 10 business enterprises, including Jintian and so on, well explaining the policies and encouraging enterprises to explore more potential markets and expand their scales. From January to June, the sales volume of above-designated-scale produce of leading business enterprises added up to 7.74 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 420 million yuan at a stable increase rate of 5.8%. Meanwhile, as for the key industries, the prices of bulk produce remain high and the sales volume has been rising at a high speed, thus further contributing to the fast increase of above-designated-scale produce.
