Lately, Jiangbei District signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and together founded an “Alumni Innovation & Venture Base” with the purpose of further accelerating the enhancement of the industrial development in Jiangbei District and cultivating more senior management talents for enterprises. Therefore, more enterprises in Jiangbei would participate in the activities of the Base, learning industrial strategies and management skills so as to improve their overall quality and competence.

In recent years, Jiangbei District has been paying great attention to the cooperation in and promotion of introduction and nurturing of talents. Since Year 2008, Jiangbei has been cooperating with the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and put forth the EMBA training programs for entrepreneurs, suggested and selected by local governmental departments in Ningbo. For the past 10 years, based on the abundant number of outstanding teachers and extensive platform resources, Jiangbei has carried out many talent cultivation cooperation projects, including EMBA classes, human resources manager senior seminars and senior MBA training programs, bringing benefits to over 100 key enterprises, such as the top 30 industrial enterprises, star service providers and fast developing enterprises in Jiangbei District, and having cultivated over 300 outstanding entrepreneurs and medium and senior management talents for economic transformation and upgrading in Jiangbei District.

As is told by a representative with Jiangbei Human Resources Administration Department, the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a top management college of global fame throughout the world, boasts competitive teaching staff as well as profound alumni resources. The very “Alumni Innovation & Venture Base”, co-developed by Jiangbei District and the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is to help deepen talent cultivation, to carry out multi-region in-depth cooperation on talent introduction, project settlement, planning consultancy, and industrialization of scientific researches and achievements, to develop mechanisms of sharing resources for talent projects, co-releasing needs of talents and communication and interactions among talent teams, and to introduce more outstanding resources from Shanghai Jiao Tong University into Jiangbei District.

Jin Yadong, President of Ningbo Solartron Science and Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. and an alumnus of EMBA Grade 16, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, said: “During the development of our enterprise, I have enough confidence in technological innovation; but as the founder of the enterprise, I have the responsibility of learning innovative management ideologies and measures for better manage and lead the company for further and better development. On the day of signing the cooperation agreement, leaders of the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and entrepreneurs, alumni of the College paid visits to Ningbo E-commerce Economic Innovation Park and Ningbo (Jiangbei) High-tech Industrial Park. After the visits, attendees were all quite satisfied with the venture environment and favorable policies and services in Jiangbei and were willing to introduce Jiangbei to more of their friends. The representative with Jiangbei Human Resources Administration Department said that for the next step, both Jiangbei and the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University are to continuously improve the mechanisms of talent introduction, working coordination and transformation of scientific research achievements for providing continuous energy for the development of Jiangbei District.
